If you take an old filling station and turn it into a quaint, country restaurant… whaddya get? You get JAKE’S GOOD EATS! This local restaurant is totally unassuming and yet delicious, you have to make it a point to go at least once.
This cozy eatery was the brainchild of brothers Jake and Gordon Stegall who wanted to recreate the atmosphere restaurants had “way back when”. And they really did! How can you go wrong eating fried green tomatoes, munching on homemade pub chips, eating a po’boy and sipping sweet tea from a mason jar? Add to that its size (quite small) and small town feel, and you have got yourself a real treat! It’s no wonder that it has been featured on Guy Fieri’s “Diners Drive-Ins and Dives” Show on the Food Network. If this place has made it onto Guy’s radar, shouldn’t it make onto yours?
