Built in 1892, St. Mary’s Chapel originally sat on the property of the Thompson Orphanage located in the heart of Uptown Charlotte. Booked well over a year in advance, the chapel offers a historic venue for weddings and special events. It’s location is perfect – nestled within an area completely surrounded by trees, but yet just steps from Charlotte’s Little Sugar Creek Greenway and busy Kings Drive. The chapel provides a place that is ideal for weddings, memorial services and other small special events. Maximum capacity is 100.
To tour the chapel, people may visit on Thursdays 4:30 – 7:30pm and Fridays noon – 4:00pm.
