Built by the City of Charlotte and operated by Bobcats Sports & Entertainment, the Time Warner Cable Arena is an entertainment and sports venue located in center city Charlotte. Opened on October 21, 2005, the arena is mainly known for being the home of the Charlotte Bobcats, but it is more than just that. The arena is also host to many NCAA basketball games and is also the home of the AHL’s Charlotte Checkers hockey team. More than just sporting events, the arena is also used for concerts, professional wrestling, circus events, musical events and more.

- The Time Warner Cable Arena scoreboard, also known as Bobcat TV, is the largest of any indoor arena and measures 38 feet high x 36 feet wide and weighs 80,000 pounds.
- The arena seats 19,077 people for most NBA games but can be expanded up to 20,200 for college basketball games and professional wrestling. For hockey games, the arena seats 14,100 with 4,000 of those having an obstructed view.
- The total cost to build the arena was $260 million, which was approved by city council.
- The grand opening of the arena was a Rolling Stones concert.
