Don’t you just love long-standing traditions? Well, not far from Charlotte, in Fort Mill, South Carolina stopping by The Old Peach Stand to pick up fresh fruit and vegetables is the thing to do during the Summer and Fall months dating back to 1938. This open air stand offers passers-by the chance to have fresh produce that has been grown locally at Springs Farm and people travel from miles around to grab a bushel of peaches or other tasty produce.
In 1980, an alternative to The OLD Peach Stand opened and it is aptly called The (NEW) Peach Stand. This wonderful destination offers area residents the best of ALL worlds: Springs Farm’s locally grown produce, a butcher shop, a restaurant and deli, bakery, ice cream, a gas station and grocery store.
The butcher shop sells only locally raised, grass fed beef…
The Restaurant offers sandwiches and salads using only the best local ingredients…
The Bakery creates homemade treats such as doughnuts, cakes, fudge and cookies…
The Grocery offers local items, over 50 of them are handmade in either North or South Carolina…
And to end your trip with an added treat, the Ice Cream Shop serves Hershey’s Premium Hand-Dipped Ice Cream!
If your taste buds are now working overtime (mine certainly are) but you do not live near The Peach Stand, you are in luck. They offer many of their specialty products online. Everything from ciders, jams, jellies and more! Check it out: peachstandonline.com
