Open since 2006, this fantastic outdoor recreation facility offers 700 acres of fun! Guests of the USNWC are able to enjoy whitewater rafting and kayaking on the world’s largest artificial river of rapids. Guests can also enjoy mountain biking on over 25 miles of trails, paddle boarding and canoeing on the adjacent Catawba River, plus zip lining, rock climbing, various ropes courses and canopy tours. The USNWC offers all types of activities for all types of skill level and ages! Guests can purchase day passes to participate in one, or all, of the outdoor recreation activities at the Center.

In addition to the physical activities, monthly festivals (with varying themes) are the perfect way to spend a summer day/evening at the USNWC. Looking for a unique place to have a meal, or just a place to relax after spending a day on the ropes course? The USNWC has three food/drink options! The Pumphouse Biergarten, the Market and River’s Edge Bar and Grill. From each eatery, you can sit back, take in the gorgeous scenery and watch the competition on the river below.
