Hello friends, welcome back to My Kitchen! My Rules! I have found myself with an overabundance of figs from my fig tree, so I have a few different #figrecipes coming, so stay tuned. Today we are going to make easy, Southern Fig Preserves. It tastes so sweet and rich; you will find yourself scraping inside the jar to get the last drop!
This recipe is a two-day process, but it is so easy – all you need is your fresh figs, lemon slices, Dixie Crystals sugar, and Ball mason jars. You can pair your finished preserves with crackers and prosciutto for a savory treat. If you have fresh figs I recommend that you give this recipe a try, let me know how it turns out and send me a picture! If you don’t have fresh figs, well, you know a REALTOR that does!
Leave me a comment saying I WANT A DIXIE CRYSTAL #COUPON, and I will make sure you get one.

Looks like what my grand mother used to make when I was a kid. She was in Georgia though. But I’d dye for some. Haven’t been able to find them like that anywhere.
My grandmother made the best. I will make my own.

Do you just wash and put the figs in whole?
