Patricia Ann Bishop Thank you and welcome!
Italians don’t put oil in their pasta because it keeps the sauce from sticking to it. It’s OK if you want to. Just sayin
My first time watching; I love how real you are!
Gaynelle Beall Eckstadt Welcome!
I agree With Susan Watters Ficquett your sauce wont stick to your noodles, if you make sure water is boiling good and stir right away they shouldnt stick, stir often
Anne Exford right!!

First time watching.I just came across you.
Becky Grice Thanks for watching!
Becky Grice me too!
Hi. FYI. Putting oil in pot for noodles is a big no no in the Italian world. They do not do that because then the sauce will not adhere to the pasta. True story!
Kathy Patterson If you will lay a wooden spoon across the top of your open pot, it will not boil over!
Kathy Patterson agreed! I found that out after years of putting olive oil in water!
If you would put that hamburger meat in that freezer bag and flatten it, then freeze, it takes less than 5min to thaw in hot water, no need for the microwave, FYI
Renae Mckinney Summers plus that saves space in the freezer!
New to your site! Like your style.
Keep it up, you’re great!!
Love watching you. You are very articulate. Just one question, why is your hood so low over your range. Mine is high. Not criticizing, just curious if theres a cooking reason.
Elaine McBride That hood is installed per code and per builder. I guess it depends on where one is located.
Minced onions are gross.
I like watching you
First time on your site..enjoy your personality…

Too much oil makes sauce slide off pasta.
I like your explanation in a funny way! Good day

Yummy!!!!
It’s the accent for me!!
Looks good
Love Leigh Brown! I could watch her all day. Love her cooking confidence…
Cynthia Segers Dukes Thank you!
I have learned when i separate my ground beef, i put in zip bags and flatten like a book, when you go to thaw ( if in a hurry ) put in hot water and its actually as quick as microwave. And doesnt turn brown.
Rhonda Covey smart!!!
See she has a mess in microwave, do it like i do there’s no mess
I’ve never seen a vent a hood that low and a microwave that high
“some vegetarian nonsense” kiilled me!!
Did you know that you can place frozen ground meat (still in it’s wrapper) into a sink of tap water and it will defrost in about 30 minutes or less? No microwave mess to clean up.
Love your videos!!! You are so entertaining and love your recipes
Salt when boiling so salt doesn’t sit on bottom of pan and pits the metal. No oil! It oils the noodles preventing sauce from sticking to them.
Also, onion, or garlic smelling hands? Simply wrap them around your metal faucet…the smell will be gone. Magic.
I love thighs better than breast anytime they cook up better and they don’t dry out
She is as cutie I couldn’t get my husband to eat what she made if I tried!
Dark me does have more favor
Debbie I really enjoyed this Video. You are breath of fresh air.

Cooking for others has always been my love language. As empty nesters, I am having to scale down on portions. You are so much fun and I love your humor. I also like to cook with an adult beverage in hand. I have earned it as a retired teacher, and now Real Estate Assistant! I fell into this crazy market and have learned so much already. I LOVE my retirement gig. Blessings from Apex, NC !
Sandy Moir-Young
My first time watching you . You can buy chopped onions in frozen or with frozen vegetables.
First time to find your video and glad I did. Funny about the oil..I’ve always done that too then JUST 2 min ago saw a video where multiple people said don’t waste the oil because if u use enough salt, it will not only give pasta the flavor it needs but also prevent sticking. So I may try that next time. Problem is they didn’t say just how much is necessary for that goal.. oh well. Maybe I won’t try it..lol
No oil, they won’t stick if you stir them, oil keeps water from boiling
I enjoy watching your videos you are so entertaining. This recipe sounds yummy.
I have never heard that about tip on the pasta. That’s a great tip. Thank you kindly. Hope you make new cooking videos soon.
I love your videos ! I can’t wait for you to get your second camera
Amazing!

Greeting from New Jersey love your recipe your videos are so much fun to watch don’t ever change your the Best!!
No oil in water
Do not salt till water boils (save your pots)
NEVER put oil in pasta water! It just makes oily pasta!
Take a breath, I’m feeling anxious. Lol
Really, I look your technique…
They say your sauce won’t stick to noodles or pastas if u use oil. Do u know.
Nancy Kershner yes I have heard that.
Nancy Kershner heard that too
Wish I could read what’s on the screen of what your doing. Needs to be bigger print.
Nancy Kershner I will work on that!
I just found you !! Love your personality !! Awesome videos, you are so much fun a long with getting the recipe out at the same time !! The meal looks delicious, will definitely have to try this ! Thank you for sharing your time & recipe ! God Bless
I add cheese for my bone density, too! 😉
Noodles wont stick together in water. It’s far better to add olive oil to noodles after draining the water out. Drop in some oil and mix in you can even put extra pasta in fridge for two days and it still wont be stuck together.
You are definitely right about the thighs. A time saver you may want to use. Take some of your ground beef when splitting the meat you buy and fry it up and then freeze it that way. It is really so much faster to defrost and you won’t have the mess in your microwave because you will have already thrown out the grease.
Loved seeing another southern girl in the kitchen. Good recipe.
Just a little FYI- spurtle was created in Scotland around 1600-1790. Created to stir oatmeal type foods in a pot. It reaches in the corners well. Little trivia note.
Guess what else a little oil does to your pasta it makes it so whatever sauce your adding to it doesn’t stick to it . Not something you want ,instead save some of your salty pasta water and put it in with your sauce and pasta to marry the pasta and sauce together.
Grease needs refrigeration it spoils and can make you very sick if left out.
Garlic powder ,onion powder ,oregano would be good in this and maybe Italuan seasoning.or switch out dice tomatoes to rotel.
That looks really good.
Enjoyed your video. Bright and fun. Looking forward to seeing you again.
For some unknown reason your posts aren’t coming on my fb feed as often!!! So glad to find you again after weeks
You are right. Thighs and legs of the chicken have more flavor.
You do way to much talking…
Love you, hi from Michigan
Secret, if you have stainless steel sink. While soaping your hands rub them on both sides of sink. It takes off the smell of the 🧅 onion. Continue washing your hands
I agree with you. Thighs are the tastiest pieces of a chicken!!!
Love these videos… you are a hoot Leigh Brown!
Looks good
but your sauce dosent stick either !
You so enjoyable!!
looks good… your a hoot
You crack me up!!
Love watching you cook.
