Leigh Thomas Brown we recently went to look at a (fixer upper) house in Mt Pleasant, NC and the realtor representing the sellers told us…well bragged about how 50% of her business was on flipping houses and that she would gladly give us all the estimates of who she uses and in fact had estimates on all the work needed to be done at this particular home. In my mind a red flag went off because if being a real estate agent is 50% of your business and the other 50% is flipping houses…what is wrong with this house? If it is such a gold mine, why aren’t you buying it? I am not in the business…just a buyer but just thought it was weird how she kept bringing it up…made us not trust the situation. I couldn’t even tell you her name so I wouldn’t be able to look her up on that app but I do appreciate you walking us through how to use it.
Leigh Thomas Brown, I know. I want to soooo bad. We haven’t signed with anyone but the same realtor has shown us houses each time. I feel bad:/. Isn’t there some code like we are supposed to stay with the one who has put in the time?
Absolutely not. You need the agent who is going to do well by you and whom you are comfortable with and trust. Not the agent who put in some time. I’d call Leigh!

I have no GRI nothing nothing. I am just honest with my customers, tell them the true about their property ! Follow up, answer you phone 7 days a week even late at night. Same with your emails check them several times a day and answer right away. If you want to work with international customer, do not assume anybody can do it ! Learn languages (5 for me) and understand their way to do business. I followed all this and I think I am successful in real estate
Multilingual is huge! Great for you! Just saying that if you don’t attain additional education or get involved in the industry, it’s hard for other professionals to know you’re someone to whom we should send business. Regarding answering the phone 7 days a week, 24 hours a day? That’s a recipe for burnout and no way to run a business. Hire someone so you can provide coverage but still have a life. Consumers have no business calling us 24 hours a day.
Well sorry but I will keep doing like I do for the last 16 years ! And do not forget when you work international you have to do so remember the time difference !

not healthy for anyone. I dont think I wouldnt even like myself if I worked like that (understandably if necessary ) I’ve learned to turn it off and get help made work so much more productive.

I always go to the CRS app first! Then I look at the agent profiles and then I contact the agent to make sure that person will be a good fit for the client. Referrals are an impotent part of out business and a direct reflection of us. It is really important to refer to the best!
