Hello friends, welcome back to My Kitchen! My Rules! Now I know this will probably be my most controversial episode ever as I show you how to make the perfect #tomato sandwich. Let me start by saying GROW YOUR OWN TOMATOES. The store-bought ones just won’t do!
There will not be a battle here over which mayonnaise or what brand of bread is the best. If you are not using Duke’s Mayonnaise, and Merita old fashioned white bread, well you’re just not living right friends. If you decide to give my #recipe a try, let me know how it turns out and send me a picture!
I am Seriously trying to convert from Miracle Whip to Dukes Mayo… because one of the Surgeons I retired working for is from Georgia and he Also insists it’s Dukes all the way! So after just watching your tutorial video on The Perfect Tomato Sandwich I cannot wait for tomatoes to get ripe to try your recipe! Thank You for Sharing this!
Jeanie Whitson Haertling I just love it!

We don’t have Dukes Mayonnaise in Wisconsin. We have Hellman’s Mayonnaise, so that’s what I use.
German Johnson tomatoes are my favorite

Duke’s all the way. It’s what my mother always bought. And Mt. Olive pickles. (on occasion Cate’s since they were in Faison). I’m about 20 miles from Mt. Olive.
Grew up in Memphis and ate tomato sandwiches every summer. Haven’t had a decent juicy tomato in years.
