When one of your children approaches you with a bag of potatoes in hand, it can only mean one thing. #mashedpotatoes y’all! Today I am whipping up the simplest, most delicious dish that is, quite frankly, a staple of Carolina cooking. Of course I’m doing it with my favorite Basil Hayden’s bourbon and my INKnBURN yoga pants on! Now let me tell you why this dish is so simple. You only need three ingredients! Potatoes, butter, sour cream, and salt and pepper. Okay so that’s five but salt and pepper is a given, isn’t it? Just make sure that you put in enough pepper so that you can see it in there!
