Welcome back friends to My Kitchen! My Rules! We all know cold months make us long for warm, soul-satisfying home-cooked meals. Well, nothing takes the chill off of a late fall afternoon like a hearty bowl of #chili. Some like it mild, others like it spicy. At my house, we use a lot of spices and temper it whenever my Momma joins us!

If you drain and rinse beans they won’t cause as much gas.

I make cornbread a lot but add no sugar to it, adding sugar gives it a cake like texture & I don’t like that!!

Regarding sugar in cornbread, I agree! Although my husband was born and raised in Arkansas, his parents are Yankees from Kansas and New York. He likes sugar in cornbread. I’m trying to convert him.
