Clean HomeIf you’ve ever watched a show on HGTV in last few years, you know that staging is THE buzz word in real estate.  But home staging isn’t a fad that is going to go away anytime soon.  Why not?  Take a look at these reasons why you should always stage your home before putting it on the market.
1. First Impressions are Everything.  Over 90% of buyer search homes online before deciding which ones to see in person.  If yours doesn’t stand out from the crowd, you’ll get left behind in the dust.  Long gone are the days of buyer going to see every house in person.  Your first showing will happen without you even knowing — while buyers are shopping your home in their PJs.
2. You will make more money.  Staged homes are more inviting and comfortable.  When homes are more comfortable, buyers can picture themselves living there.  When they can picture themselves living there, they desire your home and become emotionally attached.  Once they are emotionally attached, they are willing to pay more to get the home they desire.  It’s as easy as that.
3. Your home will sell more quickly.  When your home stands out from the crowd, buyers know they have to act quickly or risk losing out. Also, the longer a home stays on the market, the less money that the seller typically gets for it.  The faster it sells, the more money you make and the less stress that you feel.
4. It will make your move THAT much easier.  When you’ve already gone through each room, de-cluttered and moved extra items to storage, it leaves very little to do once your home is under contract.  Moving is already stressful.  Why add to the stress if you don’t have to?
5. Buyers lack vision.  When buyers walk through your home and see your stuff everywhere, they have a very hard time picturing their things there.  You want them to be placing their furniture and their photos on the wall, not gawking at the your collection of Star Wars memorabilia that you’ve been collecting since you were 5.
