Affordable #housing has been an issue for a long time not only for our country, but our local area as well. It’s a subject some people would prefer not to talk about mostly because they’re not informed on the current public-private partnerships that are creating solutions and building amazing complexes for ⁣our most vulnerable neighbors unable to afford housing.⁣

It’s important to remember that when people have stable housing, life is better. Kids do better in school and excel in other areas while the parents have less worries about obtaining just the basic need of shelter. Housing is also directly related to healthcare. Think about it. No leaky roofs or broken windows or some strange fungus growing in a damp area of the home. Adequate housing can prevent serial #healthcare issues and therefore save on medical bills and Medicaid.⁣

Our low income tax credits and related partnerships are making these new communities possible. Take time to thank your elected representatives like Richard Hudson and Congressman Ted Budd for creating solutions for our affordable housing crisis. Let them know their support is much appreciated and remember when we take care of our neighbors, our communities will be better too.
