Lately, it seems, many folks are considering making the move to Charlotte, North Carolina. Work-related relocation may play a part, or possibly a decision to be in a more temperate climate. Whatever the reason may be… there are many reasons why a move to Charlotte is a good thing for you, your business and your family.
1) Charlotte is located in the Piedmont area of North Carolina. We have the mountains two hours to the West, the ocean three hours to the East, and our fair city is right in the middle. Living in the Piedmont, Charlotte residents are easily able to experience the best of both locales.
2) Charlotte residents are blessed with the experience of the four seasons. And though we do have winter, it is much milder than what our friends to the North experience.
3) Ranking 2nd on Huffington Post’s list of the “10 Best Cities for Families to Live”, Charlotte offers excellent education choices from public to charter to private – elementary through college.
4) Charlotte, affectionately known as the “Queens City”, has a growing multicultural culture. It is cosmopolitan town with strong ties to its history as a trade center.
5) The Carolina Panthers (NFL), Charlotte Hornets (NBA), Charlotte Knights (AAA baseball), Charlotte Checkers (AAA hockey) and NASCAR race teams offer a lot of excitement and fun to those who are looking for a city where sports plays a major role.
6) Recently named by Forbes as one of the “Top 12 Best Places for Business in 2014”, Charlotte’s Gross Metro Product is $107 billion and that number is expected to grow by 3.3%. No small change for this city whose metro population is approximately 800,000.
7) Charlotte is a major U.S. financial center and is now the second largest banking center in the United States (after New York, per Wikipedia) and it boasts eight Fortune 500 companies in its metropolitan area.
8) The Charlotte/Douglas International Airport is ranked as the sixth busiest airport in both the US and the world. Many domestic and international airlines service the airport and it is US Airways largest hub. Additional transportation options include Amtrak, Greyhound and Megabus.
9) Charlotte officials have recently been pleased to announce that multiple companies will be bringing their headquarters and employees to the area. Some of those include: Sealed Air, Hitachi America, Ltd., Spectra Group and YG-1 USA.
The reasons we have listed are just a FEW of the reasons why we consider Charlotte and its surrounding areas the fairest in the land.
