We lost many of our cherished chickens to the historic flood in Harrisburg this week. Each one had a unique personality and it was like losing a family member! In an update since filming this video, we managed to rescue 16 chickens, but the flood claimed a total of 20.
God has embraced us in this time of mourning. Despite the heartache, the sky echoes Isaiah 61:3, promising beauty from ashes and comfort for sorrow. In grief, remember to look up – beauty may take time to reveal itself, but it’s there.

So sorry about your chickens.
Sad for those chickens you lost Makes me think of the scripture.. Are not two sparrows sold for a penny yet not one of them will fall to the ground outside your father’s care.
So sorry for your loss.
