Developed by the Belk and Ivey families, this mall opened its doors in 1970, making it a natural decision to have those two respective department stores as the anchor stores.
WIth over 1.6 MILLION square feet making up over 140 stores, SouthPark mall is the largest mall in the Carolinas, the 10th largest on the East Coast, and the 28th largest in the US. It has also won it’s spot as one of the most profitable malls in the Country (bringing in over $700 per square foot)!
SouthPark mall is owned by Simon Property Group, who also owns the ever-popular Concord Mills Mall. SouthPark is regarded for its high-end shopping experience it provides. Here you’ll find stores like: Burberry, Louis Vuitton, and Tiffany & Co., just to name a few. Even their food selection sets them apart, where you’ll find options like: Cowfish, Cheesecake Factory, Maggiano’s, and McCormick & Schmick’s.
